Teaching philosophy: As an educator, it is my responsibility to convey my knowledge and wisdom to the next generation of classical musicians to keep the high level of tradition to the great art. Passion and grit have been my approach to the discipline of studying music which can also be applied to all aspects of life. Not only do I focus on technique, but musicality and interpretation are equally stressed. I guide the students to listen to their own playing and to self evaluate their playing. My students have found much success, such as, acceptance to Interlochen on full scholarship, acceptance to the Evening Division at Juilliard, and winning competitions. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs in order to best guide them in their life in music. My desire to educate does not end with my students; I frequently give lecture concerts which helps to increase the audience’s knowledge, enjoyment and understanding of the music.
